Which vaporetto line?

Start with your boarding stop and destination. These five journeys point you to a line to check in the official timetable.

Choose a departure before relying on a route

Route examples checked 19 October 2026. They are planning starting points, not live departures. Select your date, direction and departure in the official waterborne timetable to see the stops and actual journey duration. Read service notices before travelling.

Read the stop, direction and date together

  1. Find both stops on the official network map. Open the stop map too when a terminal has several boarding points.
  2. Open the line in the waterborne timetable. Check its validity dates, destination and any notes for your sailing.
  3. Read the selected departure’s full stop list. A line number does not guarantee every sailing serves the same stops.
  4. Match the boarding letter, direction and route display at the stop, then validate your ticket before boarding.

For example, line 1 links P.le Roma, Ferrovia, Rialto, San Marco and Lido S.M.E. Line 2 follows a different pattern via Giudecca and Tronchetto as well as the central stops; compare the actual sailing instead of treating it as a universal express version of line 1.

Airport boats need a separate operator and ticket check. See the airport connection distinction.
