Compare your ticket options

Count the separately ticketed 75-minute travel windows you expect to use. Two boat boardings within one valid ticket window do not automatically mean two tickets.

For one adult. This comparison excludes airport travel and Alilaguna. Check coverage ↓

24-hour pass: €25.003 separate ticket windows: €28.50. The 24-hour pass: €25.00. Difference: €3.50. All journeys must fit within the selected validity and coverage.

One adult, ordinary fares. No airport supplement, discounts, best-fare card caps or mixed pass combinations. This is a planning comparison, not a ticket or a live quote.

The same three journeys, over one day or two

Timing changes the comparison. These examples assume three separate 75-minute ticket windows, at the ordinary adult fares shown above.

Complete your travel withinThree single ticketsMatching timed passLower displayed cost
24 hours€28.50€25.0024-hour pass: €25.00
48 hours€28.50€35.00Single tickets: €28.50

A 24-hour pass can be cheaper for these three ticket windows when they all fit into its validity. If you need a 48-hour window instead, three ordinary tickets cost less than the matching pass in this example.

Count the time from first validation, rather than treating a pass as a calendar date. Complete travel within the ticket's validity, check route coverage, and use the calculator with your own number of separately ticketed windows. Two boardings do not always require two tickets.

Check what is excluded

ACTV’s ordinary Rete Unica and timed urban tickets exclude waterbus routes 16 and 19, the Casinò service and Alilaguna. Ordinary urban tickets also exclude journeys to or from Marco Polo Airport unless the appropriate airport product or supplement is included.

Alilaguna is a different operator, even though its boats also serve the lagoon. Do not buy an ACTV city pass expecting it to cover every airport boat.

When does the clock start?

The listed timed tickets run from first validation: 24, 48, 72 or 168 hours. A “day” pass is a validity period, so plan around the time of first use. Complete travel within that period and validate when changing service.

Where to buy and what to check

ACTV lists ticket offices, authorised retailers, ticket machines, its official app and partner channels. Start from an official site. Check the ticket name, dates, passenger category and included services before paying.

Buying a ticket and validating it are separate steps. Read the validation checklist before you reach the queue.
